Halloween Party (backdated like a mofo)

The theme for this year's annual Halloween Bash is Heroes and Villains. The club has been redecorated for the evening, and it seems as though each corner has a different theme. And we're not talking the campy sixties type stuff, but the more recent movies from both Marvel and DC.

One half of the room is DC, complete with areas that look like the Batcave, the Fortress of Solitude, Arkham Asylum, and the Legion of Doom's lair, which has dartboards that have various heroes faces on them.

The other half of the room has the Avenger's Tower, The ship from Guardian's of the Galaxy, a throne in space with Thanos, and Hydra's lair.

They all meet in the middle at the dance floor, which gives off a kind of supernatural glow that seems to throb along with the music.

All the employees are dressed for the theme, as various heroes and villian's sidekicks and henchment.

Let the fun begin!

Evan laughs. "I swear, I don't. I can talk to people, sure, and they flirt with me, but..." He pauses, looks at Killian, then shakes his head again. "Nope. Got nothin'."

"Go ahead and try. I'll wait." he says before he leans back against the wall and waits.

Evan watches Killian lean against the wall, and grins as he raises an eyebrow.

"How am I supposed to concentrate on flirting when you're standing there looking like that? I've got a thing for priests."

"Do you? I never would have guessed that." He says with a grin.

Evan smiles and looks down. "This isn't fair. I can't flirt with someone I know is off limits. I can barely do it with my husbands and I'm married to them!"

He laughs as he reaches out to put an arm on his shoulder, "Okay, no pressure. We can talk about something else. Kyle and I were talking about you earlier."

Evan looks up at him, surprised. "You were?"

"I wondered on his vacation how many others that he fell in love with or if it's still between you and me." He says, lightly. "I said that I couldn't blame him for falling in love with you because you're..."

He makes the same face that he made then, which was in the vein of 'yummy' or something like it.

"Well, that's..." Evan lowers his eyes, an embarrassed smile on his face because that look gave him butterflies. "You know, I get why he loves you, too, man." He looks at him again. "You're okay with it, right? His feelings for me, I mean. I don't want to hurt anyone."

"I really can't be upset about it because of our lifestyle. The only thing that might have made me upset was sharing even more time. I'm sure we all feel like we could never have enough one on one time with all the people that we love." He smiles at him, "But I'm okay with his feelings for anyone."

"Yeah, the time thing can be an issue, but I think that could be settled if we all live together," Evan says.

He nods, "Yes, but...if you all live together, I'm afraid that I won't see him again. Or any of them since I'm sure they'll move toward California than here in Michigan. It's too cold here for their liking." He says softly.

Evan frowns slightly. "Killian...I don't think there's any way in hell that they'd do anything that means leaving you behind. Or Sean. I just assumed we'd have to figure out some kind of neutral plan for everyone. If we even do it. It's kinda...I think it's a pipe dream that's a little closer to being a reality, but still just a pipe dream."

"I'm sure that we'll figure it out and I hope that you'll live on neutral ground, wherever that is." He smiles softly at him, "I think it's more of a reality than you think. I know that Aidan's bags are packed."

"Yeah?" That thought makes Evan grin. "What exactly is the dynamic between all of you guys, anyway? I mean, I obviously know how things are with Wes, Aidan, James, and Kyle, but how do you feel about everyone?"

He refills Evan's drink before he says, "Well, I've slept with all of them. I think that after they saved my life, I thought that I owed them that. I didn't do it as an obligation, though because they're all hot. I fell in love with Kyle right away, but I don't really see eye to eye with James. I love Aidan's energy but I think I love Wes more. Somewhere in there, I met Sean and I really like him. Jamie does as well. We've been with him together."

He frowns, "This is complicated, I know. However, after I fell in love with Kyle and have been with all of them, that is when I met Jamie. That's not true, I've worked with Jamie for a while but I found out her feelings for me and I shared them. We just...always clicked.

She came after I met the men in my life so she honored that. Not a lot of women would. But she let me be with them and she's been with Sean and myself for my birthday. However, she's leery about me being with others now that we are married. I did make a vow to her." He says softly before he looks down at the bar, "But as you know, I fell in love with Bryce, the main dancer here. Then there's the fact that there's temptation everywhere. Like you, for instance. I find you very attractive."

Evan listens intently because he really does like hearing how everyone gets along and how relationships ended up being the way they are. He smiles fondly at him when he mentions his vows, and can't help feeling a little surprised by the admission despite what he'd told him earlier.

"I think you're attractive too, Killian," he says, "and it's not just because you're dressed like a priest. I thought that the first night I sat down at this bar and started talking to you. But...I know it's nothing we could ever act on. You love your wife and I really like and respect her. I didn't know you were in love with Bryce, though."

"That's the one I talked about in my journal." He says softly. "She is jealous of him and she has that right to be because I do love him. He's one of my best friends. However, I can't act on it and I still won't. She 'gave me'" He air quotes, "Permission, but it doesn't feel right. The good news is that he's falling in love with another dancer and I hope that will be the nice distraction we both need. I do want him to be happy."

He smiles at Evan, "I felt that same way the first night I met you."

Evan remembers Killian talking about being conflicted, but to now know who he was talking about puts a different spin on things. Evan's seen the guy, so he can't really blame Killian, and from what Will told him about his first lap dance with Bryce, well...

He sighs. "I'm sorry, man. That's...tough. It would be like my boys telling me I couldn't be with Kyle or James because I made a commitment to them first. Shit. And to want to see him fall in love with someone else so he's happy...fuck, man, you really do love him, don't you?"

"I...do..." He says but sighs, "The problem is...that he doesn't know that. He's admitted his feelings for me and I have told him that we can't do that. He's moved on, but...I haven't exactly told him how I feel."

He shrugs, "It's complicated but you don't want to hear all of this, do you? I thought you were supposed to confess to me, not the other way around."

"Hey, man, you need to talk, I like to listen, it's okay," Evan says, reaching to give his arm a squeeze. "And I think you should tell him how you feel. There's nothing worse than telling someone you love them and thinking they don't feel the same way about you."

"Perhaps I will later tonight." He says. "Have you told everyone that you love that you love them?" He asks.

"I try to," Evan says, "but I'm one of those guys who wants to make sure I'm loved before I say it." He smiles. "And I'm not sure why I just told you that. I don't talk about this chick flick stuff with anyone. Must be the collar."

"I think that there's a bar between us and rules and that is why you are talking to me. Otherwise, I'm sure there'd be no talking at all." He admits with a flirtatious grin.

Evan laughs in surprise and lowers his eyes, though he's nodding as he does. The drink is helping him control his level of flustered-ness (that grin!), so he's not red, just...turned on.

"Yeah, I think you might be right about that," he says, licking his lips and nodding again. "No bar, no rules, and I'd be on my knees so fast..." He raises his eyes to him again and grins. "I'd still talk to you, though. You know, afterwards."
