Halloween Party (backdated like a mofo)

The theme for this year's annual Halloween Bash is Heroes and Villains. The club has been redecorated for the evening, and it seems as though each corner has a different theme. And we're not talking the campy sixties type stuff, but the more recent movies from both Marvel and DC.

One half of the room is DC, complete with areas that look like the Batcave, the Fortress of Solitude, Arkham Asylum, and the Legion of Doom's lair, which has dartboards that have various heroes faces on them.

The other half of the room has the Avenger's Tower, The ship from Guardian's of the Galaxy, a throne in space with Thanos, and Hydra's lair.

They all meet in the middle at the dance floor, which gives off a kind of supernatural glow that seems to throb along with the music.

All the employees are dressed for the theme, as various heroes and villian's sidekicks and henchment.

Kyle is sure he doesn't like the look Lucifer is giving Hason, since it could very well mean trouble for him later.

Wes is simply watching, waiting for James to be ready to leave.

That is indeed the very chink in Jason's armor when it comes to Kyle.

James looks at Jason, "No. He planned this just like this." James looks at Wes, "I'm ready."

Aidan frowns, "What about...Kyle and I? What about all of us? We were supposed to have them stay at our house so they can go home tomorrow. Maybe...maybe they need to and we can talk about this at home without Jason and Lucifer."

Although, if Aidan thinks that Lucifer and Jason won't listen in with popcorn ready, he's got another thing coming.

Jase looks at Aidan, then at Will. He doesn't know if they'd be welcome back at the house and he's ready to have Gabriel take them all back to L.A., though, the way Evan is acting makes him wonder if they should go back together.

Cal looks around at the people around them who are still just frozen in place.

"Whatever we do, I believe we should let these people continue their evening," he says.

"I didn't say we weren't going home, or that the others couldn't stay, but James and I will be taking my car. I'm sure you and Kyle can manage to get home without us."

They seem to do well enough without them already, after all.

Aidan sighs softly even as James doesn't say another word before he leaves with Wes in tow. Aidan watches them go before he turns toward his Jason.

Jason looks incredibly pleased with himself, even though he's sure that he'll get a good scolding at home. He lost connection with Lucifer's mind as soon as Kyle spoke up.

"I have no reason not to continue this night." He says with a snap of his fingers and the party starts up again just as it was.

Jase puts his arms around Aidan and holds him close as everything is set in motion again, while Will goes over to Kyle and puts an arm around his shoulders.

"Come on," Will says softly, "you can come with us."

Cal walks over to the group, as does Gabriel, who's ready to take them to whichever destination they choose. But Grace goes over to her uncle.

"I can take you wherever you want to go, Uncle Evan," she says, putting a hand on his back and moving it in slow circles in the hopes of calming him. He doesn't say anything.

Kyle nods slightly, giving Will a soft smile of thanks, which is all he can manage at the moment.

He looks at Jason and Lucifer once more before he looks at his Jason, "I think we ALL should really go back to our place and talk this out together. Maybe not tonight, but tomorrow. There's plenty of room and separate rooms if need be.

I'm sorry it came to this, but ...it seems this was inevitable tonight." He says as he looks at Evan as well, "Come with us. We'll work this all out, together."

Lucifer watches them. It wasn't exactly the fireworks he'd hoped for, but it's still satisfying to know there are chinks in the armor of their perfect little family.

Evan glances at Aidan, then nods wordlessly and kisses Grace on the cheek. "You go home, sweetheart," he says softly. "Happy birthday again."

She gives him a small smile and a long hug before looking at Gabriel. "I know you need to sort things out, so I'll see you at home when you're finished," she says to her husband, then vanishes.

Gabriel looks at the group. "Whenever you're ready."
