Halloween Party (backdated like a mofo)

The theme for this year's annual Halloween Bash is Heroes and Villains. The club has been redecorated for the evening, and it seems as though each corner has a different theme. And we're not talking the campy sixties type stuff, but the more recent movies from both Marvel and DC.

One half of the room is DC, complete with areas that look like the Batcave, the Fortress of Solitude, Arkham Asylum, and the Legion of Doom's lair, which has dartboards that have various heroes faces on them.

The other half of the room has the Avenger's Tower, The ship from Guardian's of the Galaxy, a throne in space with Thanos, and Hydra's lair.

They all meet in the middle at the dance floor, which gives off a kind of supernatural glow that seems to throb along with the music.

All the employees are dressed for the theme, as various heroes and villian's sidekicks and henchment.

Let the fun begin!

Gabriel's eyes go wide as he considers this. "You know, you might be right. Batman does have a thing for dangerous women."

"Exactly, and you know Catwoman wasn't always going to be there, being the independent sort that she was and all."

Gabriel nods. "Grace dressed as Catwoman tonight and she is off doing...her own thing... So you are quite right about that." He clears his throat. "Hmm."

Jamie lifts an eyebrow. "And shouldn't you be off doing the same?"

"Just flirting? With someone of your looks and...abilities?"

Gabriel grins. "I like flirting. And what abilities are you referring to exactly?"

"Only what I've been told about your flight skills and so forth."

"I'll be happy to share them with you if you'd like to see for yourself."

Gabriel smiles. "So, would you like to do it? Would you like to go flying?"

"I would, actually, but I can't stay long tonight. I have to get home to Liam. How about we make a date?"

"That's a very good idea. You can just call me whenever you're ready." He pulls a hand out from behind his back and presents Jamie with a little white teddy bear angel. "And please give this to sweet Liam."

She makes the awww sound that women tend to make over especially cute items given as gifts to their children. "Thank you, Gabriel. I'm sure he'll love it."

Gabriel smiles, pleased that he chose the right thing. "You're welcome."

"Well you're always welcome, so drop by anytime," she says with a smile.

"Thank you so much, Jamie," Gabriel says, looking touched. He doesn't have very many friends outside of his family, so the offer means a lot.

Mindful not to get too touchy feely, he leans in and wraps his arms around her, holding onto her with a contented smile. He really does like having friends.
