Halloween Party (backdated like a mofo)

The theme for this year's annual Halloween Bash is Heroes and Villains. The club has been redecorated for the evening, and it seems as though each corner has a different theme. And we're not talking the campy sixties type stuff, but the more recent movies from both Marvel and DC.

One half of the room is DC, complete with areas that look like the Batcave, the Fortress of Solitude, Arkham Asylum, and the Legion of Doom's lair, which has dartboards that have various heroes faces on them.

The other half of the room has the Avenger's Tower, The ship from Guardian's of the Galaxy, a throne in space with Thanos, and Hydra's lair.

They all meet in the middle at the dance floor, which gives off a kind of supernatural glow that seems to throb along with the music.

All the employees are dressed for the theme, as various heroes and villian's sidekicks and henchment.

Let the fun begin!

Mia's brow furrows as she thinks back, but the alcohol is taking effect, blurring her thoughts. Just as she wanted. "Right now I can't even remember."

"I don't know what to say about that except if that you aren't getting together with him after finding out this news, are you happily with someone else?"

Her smile turns into more of a grin. "Very good news. Lots of friends. Lots of benefits."

He smiles, "Well, that sounds like you're becoming like the rest of us."

She shrugs one shoulder, only admitting half of that is true. "Not quite like you guys. I'm not in a relationship with anybody and there's not one big group. And no group sex."

"Safer?" He says as he also arches his eyebrow. "Is that because it is fun without any of the attachment?"

"Pretty much." Mia's tempted to down the rest of her drink in one go but forces herself to take it slow.

"Enough about that though," she smiles. "How are you doing with being a dad?"

"Fantastic." He says with a grin as he pulls out his cell from his back pocket and opens up the pictures, "I swore I wouldn't be the kind of father that would show pictures, but I can't help it." he says as he does become one of those fathers that shows pictures of his kid.

Mia leans forward to look at all the pictures. "I'm not a baby person, but even I have to admit, your baby's cute."

"So, does that mean that you aren't going to babysit when we need you?"

Mia just laughs. "I'm the last person you want babysitting."

"No. Wes and Aidan are the last people I would let babysit."

"You mean they haven't yet? That surprises me. I'm not sure how much better I'd be at it than them."

"James and Kyle have, but not Aidan and Wes." He says before he puts away his phone.

"They do seem like the more responsible ones. Kyle especially."

"Kyle is, yes. James is great, but...ask him to put together Ikea furniture and it's another story."

"I remember that video," Mia laughs. "But I don't understand the fascination here with putting together your furniture. That's what furniture people are for."

"I don't understand it either but then again, I'm not even sure what an Ikea is to begin with."

"All I know is it's a big furniture store where you pay to do most the work yourself."
