Halloween Party (backdated like a mofo)

The theme for this year's annual Halloween Bash is Heroes and Villains. The club has been redecorated for the evening, and it seems as though each corner has a different theme. And we're not talking the campy sixties type stuff, but the more recent movies from both Marvel and DC.

One half of the room is DC, complete with areas that look like the Batcave, the Fortress of Solitude, Arkham Asylum, and the Legion of Doom's lair, which has dartboards that have various heroes faces on them.

The other half of the room has the Avenger's Tower, The ship from Guardian's of the Galaxy, a throne in space with Thanos, and Hydra's lair.

They all meet in the middle at the dance floor, which gives off a kind of supernatural glow that seems to throb along with the music.

All the employees are dressed for the theme, as various heroes and villian's sidekicks and henchment.

Let the fun begin!

"Well, since you're being so good...I'll give you a pass for now." Gabriel smiles. He likes when he's able to joke around because he understands what's going on.

She looks him over. "You make a really good Bats, but how are you at Bruce Wayne?"

"I'm not sure. Dressing up in a suit or tuxedo is not my favorite thing to do."

"Well I'm not real fond of fishnets either, but they do seem to get the job done."

Gabriel gives her an appraising look, staring at her legs. "They really do," he says. "Everything about your costume is getting the job done."

She might blush just the tiniest bit. "Well thank you. It's nice to know all my hard work is worth it."

"Definitely worth it," Gabriel says with a pleased smile. "You are a MILF. That's the correct term, right?"

She laughs, though she does blush a bit at the same time. "Yeah, I think that's the one you were looking for..."

Gabriel smiles, liking the way he seems to make her blush. To be honest, though, he's never sure what a blush means because it can be different things for different people.

"Now, are you blushing because of the compliment or because I'm being inappropriate?" he asks, still smiling.

"The compliment. I don't think it was really all that inappropriate."

"That's very good news," Gabriel says, "because I like giving you compliments. Grace says she doesn't mind if I flirt, and if you don't mind, then..." He smiles. "Fun."

"I don't mind a little flirting if you don't," she says with a coy smile.

"I definitely do not mind," Gabriel says, liking that smile. "You are a very beautiful woman, and I will confess that your costume is making me imagine Harley Quinn doing all sorts of things to Batman." He sighs. "It's rather pleasant."

She laughs softly. "Who's to say they never did?"

Gabriel's eyes go wide as he considers this. "You know, you might be right. Batman does have a thing for dangerous women."

"Exactly, and you know Catwoman wasn't always going to be there, being the independent sort that she was and all."

Gabriel nods. "Grace dressed as Catwoman tonight and she is off doing...her own thing... So you are quite right about that." He clears his throat. "Hmm."

Jamie lifts an eyebrow. "And shouldn't you be off doing the same?"

Gabriel grins. "I like flirting. And what abilities are you referring to exactly?"
