"Teasing aside," Grace says softly, "I think we all know how special you are to Uncle Evan, and it would be a good thing if you were special to all of us, too."
"Grace, are you threatening him or trying to get in his pants," Jason says as a joke, getting a glare from her in return and mumbling an apology before she sets his hair on fire. Again.
Grace looks at Kyle again, smiling. "I hope that didn't sound threatening or anything because it's not how I meant it. I really honestly think it's important that you feel special and loved and accepted by this side of the family. That's all."
